SUPVETS BRAND: Integrity, Community and Service

Founded by the Benway family, SUPVETS is a veteran owned business created to bring awareness towards the need to support American Heroes. we do this with our unique brand which is a visual representation of support for our veteran, military and first responder community. We have created a vessel that allows business’s the opportunity to let our heroes know that they are always welcome and supported. By partnering with local organizations we are able to identify and directly support our heroes through the SUPVETS brand which is meant to create a trusted resource for our heroes to turn to for support, and to support those that support them; thus, creating a community of Patriotism.

Our mission is to facilitate a safe space of support for our Nations Veterans, Military and First Responders. SUPVETS sets itself apart as a brand with a cause and we strive to ensure that SUPVETS gives every business the ability to be patriotic both vocally and visually for our Nations heroes. SUPVETS is a representation that we have not forgotten those who have sacrificed for our country and our freedom.

As a medically retired Coast Guard Veteran of 10 years, James has a passion for business and a strong desire to bring support to the Service Community. Currently residing in Heber City, UT with his wife Brittany and their two kids, his passion for business began while going to school full time during his active duty career and earning his degree in management and entrepreneurship. Upon his retirement, he quickly felt the mental hardship of separating from active duty and transitioning into a civilian lifestyle that felt foreign. After running his own company and many positions in marketing and sales, he immediately found a gap within his community, noticing that many businesses supported veterans; however, they did not communicate it but once a year. Without an effective way to communicate their support, veterans were not able to feel that support and take advantage of what they had to offer. Understanding the importance for veterans to see and feel local support is what motivated James to create SUPVETS. With a background in business and advertising, he also understood the value a veteran can bring to a business. His valuable connections within the veteran community are continuing to spread awareness.
Brittany is considered a visionary because of her ambitious entrepreneur spirt. She is determined and compassionate and loves to help others. Brittany was born in California but spent most of her life in Utah and loves the outdoors. For ten years she’s been married to the love of her life (James) and together have 2 amazing children. As a current student at USU studying psychology, she’s able to put her analytical mind to work by diving deep into her studies and research. She has a desire to assist those in the community with mental health and emotional resilience. She is a great fit for our team as she understands how a boost in a veteran and their families support system can contribute to their overall enhanced wellbeing. This leads her to find solutions that are beneficial, effective and sustainable. Being a military spouse herself, she understands what it takes to stand strongly and support her family during her husbands time in the service and transitioning out . Along side James, she is passionate to create strategies that will benefit the community by addressing specific needs of veterans and businesses. As the content creator and administrator for SUPVETS, Brittany delivers consistent relevant and reliable information for its members.

Kevin has always had a passion for business and serving others. He currently resides in St. George, Utah with his wife Amy and son. He is a committed father of five beautiful children. Kevin was born in Bellville, Illinois. Through the years, Kevin has had the opportunity to be one of the lead artisans on the LDS Angel Moroni project, owned multiple businesses, and managed large territories on the regional and national levels. He feels bringing his own life experiences will support SUPVETS and its ability to help our Veterans. Although he is not a Veteran, he has always had a true devotion to serve our country. SUPVETS has given him a platform to serve and own a business, two of his favorite things to do. He is dedicated to helping those who have served our country and have made the ultimate sacrifice. Kevin believes and feels that this is an overwhelming act of service that will give a hand up to those veterans that have served our nation. Banning together as a community is essential towards the success of sustainable support for veterans. If every business can contribute a little, we as a SUPVETS community can create overwhelming value to our nation’s Veterans and in return veterans will have the ability to support those that support them.
